Julian Smith Gets A Kenny G Signature Sax

Britain's Got Talent superstar Julian Smith got to meet one of his main influences in the form of Kenny G. Originally shown on semi final night on Britain's Got More Talent the charismatic soprano saxophonist was taken to meet Kenny G at The Royal Albert Hall and was presented with one of Kennys own designed horns. The pair then played Songbird on stage and Kenny actually signed the instrument he'd just given Julian. Guess where the only place in the UK you can buy one is ? Derek Nash Signature Models

The eagerly awaited Derek Nash signature models will be arriving in the UK in August 2009. Derek travelled to New Orleans last year and designed his signature model with legendary repair and design guru Steve Goodson. They have incorporated many of the design features found on his own horn ( which Steve built ) and which Derek can be seen playing in his role in The Jools Holland Band. Available in both Alto and Tenor format there are only 20 of each coming into the country so collectors beware !!

An Amazing Gig

We caught up with Derek Nash in Eastleigh recently where he was playing with Rolling Stones legend Charlie Watts. Derek was the first 'Brit' to get his hands on the brand new Steve Goodson Voodoo Rex alto and we still haven't got it back !! He loved it that much !!
